Class Description

This painting class takes place at the beautiful Park Hill Orchard during the “Art in the Orchard” event in Easthampton. Set high on a hill, the farm delivers a breathtaking view of  Mt. Tom.

The workshop is taught step-by-step, from the start to the finished painting, with demonstrations and individual instruction given to each student according to his or her skill level. During this process, Adams will clearly explain how to simplify the subject into manageable parts and build your visual vocabulary of composition, value, color theory, and brushwork. You will be amazed what you accomplished in one day!

What to bring

1. You are encouraged to bring your own outdoor easel, but you can rent one for the day for $10 (limited number) or you can sit at a table, reservation for each is required
2. Food and drink: Park Hill Orchard has a snack shop which serves soup, and fresh fruit from the farm. Bring supplemental food to have with you.

4. Optional: sketch book, charcoal
