My classes are perfect for beginners, intermediates and professional artists alike. Creating a very supportive environment, I take you through a painting step-by-step. I have a unique method of teaching color theory and how to build a painting in a fun and effective way. I also do painting demonstrations throughout the process for the group and each individual, explaining visually how to solve problems or create different effects. Class size is small to give lots of individual attention.

Early fall workshops are now enrolling. The workshops run for 5 weeks, each session is 2.5 hours. You can chose either the morning or the evening class, both are held on Tuesdays. ALL LEVELS WELCOME!
Early Fall Workshops
From Marsh to Mountains!
Explore the beauty and movement of nature in this five-week acrylic painting workshop, where we will create a landscape featuring a flowing river winding down from majestic mountain peaks.
Each week, students will build upon their painting while learning and practicing acrylic techniques such as creating depth and perspective, mixing and layering colors, painting mountains and trees, capturing reflections and water movement, and developing light and atmosphere. We will look at how color, value, texture, and composition work together to create a convincing and expressive landscape.
The workshop is designed for artists of various experience levels. Step-by-step instruction, demonstrations, and individual guidance will help you develop your painting while encouraging your own artistic style and interpretation.
By the end of the five weeks, you will have a completed acrylic landscape of a mountain river flowing through the landscape, along with new techniques and greater confidence working with acrylic paint.

You may choose either the morning or the evening class.

One Day Workshops
No experience necessary! Unleash your creative self and start that brush going! In this workshop you will learn to paint shadows on snow. This is a step-by-step class, in which you will follow along with the teacher and come home with a finished painting. Participants will build their painting skills in a supportive and fun environment, giving them a foundation to continue on their artistic journey.
Join me for a day in my studio for the following workshop.
Tuition: $150, all materials included
