In this virtual 6-week workshop students will learn how to construct a landscape painting using acrylic paint on canvas. There will be discussion of how to mix infinite colors from a limited palette, how to get certain effects with various brushes, how to make a painting “sing” using Joseph Albers’ color theory. Students will work from photograph provided, giving them plenty of time to work on their painting in class and during the weeks between sessions. Demonstrations will allow students to follow along with the artist step-by-step. After each class I will email you a photo of the session’s progress and a recorded video of that session.
